No other person or priest is allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum and it is only after he performs his religious functions that others are allowed to enter. Even though non-hindus are not allowed to enter the shrine, they can stroll through the Vishwanath Gali (lane) and get a glimpse of the interiors.
